After almost 20 years at IBM, I finally checked into a place I had heard about for years: the Louis V. Gerstner, Jr. Center for Learning in Armonk, New York.
The campus exceeded my expectations. Even the Wi-Fi reaches the guest rooms, which makes it possible to joke that this is the one place where sleeping at the office is encouraged.
More than accommodations, the center is a dedicated setting for learning and collaboration, with guest rooms, classrooms, meeting spaces, and dining together on campus. IBMers, clients, and partners come from around the world to learn and work together.
I appreciated seeing the investment in bringing people together to build knowledge and relationships. After nearly two decades with the company, I’m glad I finally had the chance to experience it firsthand.
