Meeting IBM Bob: Enterprise AI and the Value of Shared Knowledge

I finally got a chance to meet IBM Bob in person and take a picture together. It was a fun moment, and a prompt to think about where conversational AI can help in day-to-day enterprise work.

One promising use is making organizational knowledge easier to find. Employees can spend less time searching across systems and more time understanding information, collaborating, and moving work forward.

For organizations considering enterprise AI, useful questions include: can people access trusted knowledge in natural language? Does the tool respect the organization’s security and governance needs? Does it help teams make better decisions or simply add another interface?

The value is not AI by itself. It is helping people make better use of the knowledge, processes, and technology their organization already has. I’m interested in which use cases people find most helpful.
