With Spectrum Symphony Day approaching, I was looking forward to a day focused on the real workloads that keep financial services compute teams busy.
The August 20 workshop in New York was set to include customer stories, technical sessions, demonstrations, and discussion with peers and IBM specialists.
Among the workloads on the agenda were CCAR, counterparty credit risk, CVA and xVA, value at risk, and environments supporting trading and analytics. The sessions were also expected to explore AI, OpenShift, IBM Cloud, and how teams can use compute resources more effectively.
This dated post captures what I hoped attendees would take away: practical ideas they could test against their own needs, and conversations with people facing similar operating challenges.
