Leadership in a Time of AI Change

Congratulations to IBM Chairman and CEO Arvind Krishna on being recognized by TIME among the TIME100 Most Influential Companies leaders of 2026.

What stands out to me is not only IBM’s place in the AI conversation, but Arvind’s willingness to embrace change and take calculated risks. His reminder that “trying to muddle along without taking risk is the riskiest path” captures a real leadership challenge: doing nothing is also a choice.

AI is changing how software is built, how organizations operate, and how decisions are made. For enterprises, the opportunity is not simply to adopt a model. It is to apply AI to proprietary data, trusted workflows, and problems that matter, with the security and governance those environments require.

In my work with clients across DevOps, engineering, automation, and AI, I see organizations beginning to rethink how their teams work. The most useful conversations start with the outcome a team needs, then consider where AI can help responsibly.

Congratulations, Arvind, and the IBM team. It is exciting to watch the next chapter take shape.
