I had an interesting week visiting Westfield Insurance in Ohio. Westfield traces its roots to 1848, when local farmers formed a mutual company to protect their properties from fire losses.
The unexpected highlight was the drive. With a costly short flight on offer, driving across the border looked like a sensible alternative. Once I accounted for getting to the airport, customs, and security, the road trip took about the same amount of time and gave me room to explore the area.
Crossing through the Peace Bridge with NEXUS was straightforward. Sometimes the route between meetings becomes part of the trip worth remembering.
Most of all, I appreciated the opportunity to spend time with the Westfield team and learn more about the organization and its work.
